YouShoot with Chyna - DVD Review

She was regarded as the top female star in the wrestling business until situations in her personal life sent her on a downward spiral. Now she’s back, and she’s the subject of Kayfabe Commentaries’ latest YouShoot release. The woman in question is Joanie Laurer, aka Chyna.

The last time I saw Chyna doing an interview was on Michael Moody’s infamous 101 Reasons Not To Be A Professional Wrestler documentary, and there has certainly been a marked change since then.

With Sean Oliver once again ably posing the questions set by you, the fans, Chyna came across as someone who has found peace in her life. With her addiction problems a part of her past she seemed extremely confident and willing to answer anything that was asked of her.

No topic was taboo here, from her beginnings in the wrestling business, her tremendous run in the WWF, becoming the first (and so far only) woman to have held the Intercontinental title through to her controversial departure, it’s all here.

Her personal life is also discussed in great detail, especially her relationships with Triple H and Sean Waltman. Indeed, what makes this more interesting is the fact that Waltman himself did a similar interview not that long ago, and Chyna’s view on the porn film they made together certainly differs from that of Waltman.

There’s also the usual games such as the Ho Bag and the Dick Bag, and while she’s just too nice about her fellow former Divas she’s more than willing to name and shame some of the boys.

So while this may not be the best YouShoot the boys at Kayfabe Commentaries have ever produced it’s definitely one of the most entertaining, and I have to admit that, despite her rather shambolic TNA appearances it’s nice to see that Chyna has put her life back on track, discarding those people in her life who were a negative influence on her (and that’s something I can relate to) and surrounding herself with those who truly care about here.

So overall this release gets the big thumbs up as the perfect addition to this ongoing series.

With thanks to the powers that be for supplying a copy of this release. YouShoot with Chyna can be purchased online at www.kayfabecommentaries.com.
